Mobile video audience grows 70% year to year

Mobile video consumption in the U.S. is growing quicker than ever before.

According to Nielsen's Q2/2009 Three Screen Report, the number of mobile video users in the U.S. has grown from 9 million to 15 million in the past year. Note that this figure includes Web video, subscription services, downloads and applications.

The audience composition skews slightly towards male users, who represent 59% of the total audience.

The top three age groups in the mobile video audience are 25-34: 32%, 35-44: 20% and 12-17: 19%.
